San Antonio Museum of Art - San Antonio



San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA) is an art museum located downtown. It has a large collection of ancient and modern collection. It is located in the old Lone Star Brewery, which closed down in 1917. SAMA opened in 1981, after the Brewery was rediscovered in 1971.

Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 10am - 7pm
Wednesday: 10am - 7pm
Thursday: 10am-5pm
Friday: 10am-7pm
Saturday: 10am-5pm

*Closed New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Battle of Flowers, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day*
*Edited Hours: Fiesta Flambeau Parade (10am-3pm); Christmas Even (10am-3pm); New Year's Eve (10am-3pm)

Adults: $24
Children (Children 12 & under): FREE
Students: $14
Military: $19
Senior (65+): $19

Bexar County Residents Free General Admission Hours:
Tuesday: 4-7pm
Second Sunday: 10am-12pm

Museums for All Program: SNAP Receivers can get $3 tickets for up to Four (4) people with SNAP EBT card

University and Corporate Partners: students, faculty, and staff receive FREE general admission with school IDs

Museums on Us Program: Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders receive FREE general admission on the first full weekend of every month. 

Parking: Public Paid Parking across the street.
